Agreement to these terms
By opening an account, entering a conversation or otherwise using Inner Circle, you accept these terms in full. If any part of them is unacceptable to you, please do not use the service. These terms operate alongside the Inner Circle Privacy Policy.
Definitions
"Inner Circle", "we" and "us" mean the operator of innercircle.run. "You" means the account holder. "Companion" means an AI character available in the service. "Membership" means a paid plan. "Content" means text, images, audio and other material exchanged within Inner Circle.
Eligibility and age
Inner Circle is strictly for adults. You confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or older where local law requires, that you have the legal capacity to enter this agreement and that your use of the service is lawful where you live.
Nature of the companions
Every companion in Inner Circle is a fictional AI character. No companion is a real person, no message is written by a human on the other side, and nothing said inside a conversation should be understood as a statement of fact about any living individual.
Creating an account
You must provide accurate registration details and keep them current. One person may hold one account. Accounts may not be sold, rented, shared or transferred to anyone else.
Account security
You are responsible for your password and for any activity that takes place under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access, and we will help you secure the account.
Free access
Inner Circle offers a free tier with a daily message allowance and limited features. Free access is provided as it stands and may be adjusted or withdrawn at any time without compensation.
Memberships and pricing
Paid memberships unlock additional features as described on the membership section of our site. Prices displayed at the moment of purchase apply to that purchase; price changes only ever affect future renewal periods.
Billing and renewal
Memberships renew automatically at the end of each period using the payment method on file, until you cancel. We attempt renewal a limited number of times if a charge fails and will downgrade the account to free access if payment cannot be taken.
Cancellation
You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops the next renewal; paid features remain available until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Refunds
Where a statutory right of withdrawal applies, we honour it. Outside that, refunds are considered case by case, and we will normally refund a period that was charged in error or during which the service was materially unavailable.
Chargebacks
Please contact support before disputing a charge with your bank. Accounts with an unresolved chargeback may be suspended until the matter is settled, because the payment provider blocks further activity in those cases.
Taxes
Prices may exclude sales tax or VAT, which is added at checkout according to your billing country. You are responsible for any additional local charges applied by your bank or card issuer.
Acceptable use
- Use Inner Circle for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
- Do not attempt to access accounts, systems or data that are not yours.
- Do not scrape, mirror, resell or automate access to the service.
- Do not interfere with the operation or security of Inner Circle.
Prohibited content
You must not submit or request material that involves minors, non-consensual acts, real identifiable people presented in a sexual context, threats, extreme violence, terrorism, illegal goods, or content that infringes another party's rights. Accounts used for such requests are closed without refund and reported where the law requires.
Your content and licence
You keep ownership of what you write. You grant Inner Circle a limited licence to store, transmit and process that content solely to operate the service for you, including generating companion replies and maintaining conversation history.
Generated content
Text, images and audio produced by a companion are provided for your personal use. Generated material may be imperfect or unexpected, and you must not present it as the work or statement of a real person.
Intellectual property
The Inner Circle name, logo, interface, characters, artwork and underlying software are owned by us or our licensors. Nothing in these terms transfers those rights to you beyond the limited permission to use the service.
Availability of the service
We work to keep Inner Circle running continuously but do not promise uninterrupted access. Maintenance, upgrades, third-party outages and events beyond our control may cause temporary interruption.
Changes to the service
Features may be added, changed or retired as Inner Circle develops. If a change materially reduces a paid feature you rely on, we will tell you in advance and offer a fair remedy such as a credit or a pro-rata refund.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that is used fraudulently, or where we are legally obliged to act. Where circumstances allow, we give notice and an opportunity to correct the problem first. You may close your account at any time.
No professional advice
Inner Circle is entertainment and companionship. It is not therapy, medical care, legal advice or a crisis service. If you are struggling, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency number.
Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Inner Circle is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted operation.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Inner Circle is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, for lost profits or for loss of data. Our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid us during that period. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Indemnity
You agree to cover reasonable losses and legal costs we incur because you used Inner Circle unlawfully, breached these terms or infringed the rights of a third party.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Inner Circle is established, without affecting mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence. We ask that you contact support first; most disputes are resolved informally within a few days.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date above shows the current version, and material changes are announced before they take effect. Continuing to use Inner Circle after that date means you accept the updated terms.
